Tail carton combines quantities that don't fill a whole carton with another carton for calculation. A common case is when there's a small remainder after filling whole cartons. Patisco's Packing List handles this with "tail cartons," which you operate on at the end of the item line: 1. [Set as Tail Carton...]: Set this line as a tail carton and select which carton to merge with in [Main Carton]. 2. [Add Tail Carton...]: Using this line as the main carton, fill [Tail Carton Quantity] to add a new tail carton. 3. You can also click [Edit...] to fill the total quantity directly (including tail carton). The system automatically splits based on unit per carton. For example, if the unit per carton is 12 and you fill 125, it becomes 10 cartons of 120 plus one tail carton of 5. Rules: The quantity, unit per carton, and unit price of a tail carton line cannot be changed. It cannot be deleted or copied separately. A main carton with a tail carton must change quantity and unit per carton using [Edit...]. To undo tail carton, click [Remove Tail Carton]. A line sharing a carton with other items will show [Delete] as disabled with a reason; there's currently no way to delete it.
