How is the "estimated shipping cost" calculated when a visitor checks out? Why does it sometimes show "shipping cost to be confirmed"?

When the seller enables "online direct order and shipment" on the public page, after the visitor fills in the delivery address (address, city, postal code, country), the system automatically estimates the shipping cost after approximately 0.6 seconds. It also displays "Estimated shipment: N business days after payment confirmation". Calculation method: Using the seller's currently active UPS account (their own connected account or Sino system discounted freight account), the system queries various services and selects the cheapest one. It then adds the "shipping surcharge %" and "fixed handling fee" configured on the public page, and rounds according to "shipping rounding". Only one total is displayed, not broken down. Common reasons for showing "shipping cost to be confirmed, seller will notify after confirmation": a product has no weight specified, the seller's company information address is incomplete, UPS connection issue, total boxes exceed 200 units, or UPS query failed. The system won't block the order in these cases—the visitor can still submit it.
