Hand documents to AI, you just nod

Back from the trade show, Jer’s desk holds Dana’s card, Hongtai’s spreadsheet quote, and a customer PO photographed on a phone. AI reads them, lists what to create, what is missing, what is duplicated; he says “add”, and only then does it write.

One deal

The night after the show, the pile on the desk

One deal, seen from another seat
A stack of cards, three customer POs photographed on a phone, two supplier spreadsheets. The people who negotiated don’t type; the people who type weren’t there. The “later” pile never made it in. Now Jer photographs on his phone; AI reads, sorts, asks; he answers in a sentence.

AI reads, sorts, asks — and waits for your nod before writing.

What you get

Dealmakers don’t type; typing stops going wrong

It always asks before writing.

Any change to data is a proposal until you confirm; every write is logged; every import batch can be undone as a whole.

Only your permissions.

AI acts as your account and sees only what you see. Bring your own ChatGPT or Claude key; data is never used for training or shared across customers.

When unsure, it asks.

A near-miss part number, a unit that doesn’t match, a missing currency: it asks instead of filling in.

Questions first
Will AI write into the system on its own?

No. Every write needs your “add” or “confirm”; it can only propose.

Which AI?

You choose ChatGPT or Claude with your own key. Patisco neither resells nor marks up.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The mobile AI chat has a camera button; cards, POs and whiteboards are read from photos.

Handwriting or skewed photos?

What it can read is listed; what it cannot, it says “this field was not read” rather than inventing.

ThenOnce products, customers and suppliers are in, Northwind’s own catalog grows from them. Every buyer, their own price
