No. "Create Shipping Label" only registers the shipment with UPS and generates a tracking number and label PDF. Your package is still in your possession, and UPS has not yet charged you. The correct workflow is:
1. Check Rate: Only gets a price quote—no commitment. 2. Create Shipping Label: UPS issues a tracking number and label. Print the label and attach it to the box. 3. Schedule Pickup: Click "Schedule Pickup" on the result screen, enter available pickup dates and times, and request UPS to collect the package. 4. Driver collects and scans: This is when UPS actually charges your account. The tracking number becomes trackable from this moment onward.
If you just want to test the workflow, you can stop at step 2. Unscanned labels are not charged, and the result screen has a "Void Label" button to cancel directly.
