PPWR is the European Union's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, officially Regulation (EU) 2025/40.
Entry into force: 11 February 2025. Start of application: 12 August 2026.
From the date of application onwards, packaging placed on the EU market must in principle have a corresponding EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and technical documentation. Your European customers requesting these documents is neither unreasonable nor a special request from individual customers—it is a chain reaction after the regulation comes into effect. Taiwan exporters will encounter this concentrated in the second half of 2026.
