Battery Passport is the first Digital Product Passport to be implemented, based on the Battery Regulation. Passports for other products (steel, aluminum, textiles, tires, furniture) are governed by the ESPR regulation and have later timelines. The technical architecture is similar, so Battery Passport is also viewed as a pilot case for DPP.
