Listing factory prices directly on platforms like Amazon appears highly competitive in the short term, but creates several structural problems. First, channels have no profit margin, so no distributors or retailers will help stock your product or maintain brand image—the brand must sustain itself alone. Second, consumers do not receive complete after-sales support, resulting in low repeat purchase rates and difficulty building brand loyalty. Third, once competitors follow with even lower prices, you can only continue cutting prices, creating a "race to the bottom" cycle where brand premium pricing power eventually disappears entirely. While this approach may generate sales volume in the short term, it makes it progressively harder to sell the product at good margins in the long run.
